Ethical lingerie brand Nudea has been busy on two fronts: launching and new capsule collection and partnering with a sustainable delivery service for its UK-based customers.
First, the brand is launching its debut sleepwear collection, comprising pyjamas and accessories called Nudea Sleep. Crafted with 100% natural fabrics and finishes, the seven-piece collection offers mix-’n’-match pyjama styles and accessories that work together for both night and day. Featuring signature Nudea detailing in classic colourways of white and French Navy stripe, Nudea Sleep “is a luxurious take on effortless, off-duty style”, it said.
Founder and CEO Priya Downes said: “I wanted this collection to be totally versatile for both for sleep as well as lazy lounging at home and even as a beach cover-up, and that it was something you’d be happy to answer the door wearing.”
The collection comprises: The Midi Shirt; The Classic Trouser; The Tank; The Classic Boxer; The Maxi Shirt; The Slouchy Socks; and The Silk Sleep Mask. Prices range from £35 and £80.
Meanwhile, Nudea’s just-launched partnership with logistics platform Urb-it allows sustainable last mile delivery services for UK city-based customers. These deliveries are conducted by Urb-it’s e-cargo fleet “which reduce noise and air pollution as well as congestion with the aim of creating healthier communities”.
Downes added: “We know from our own life-cycle analysis that customer operations including shipping and returns contributes 30% to our carbon emissions, so being able to help our customers make more environmentally friendly choices means that we can collectively reduce our carbon footprint.
“Right from the very outset, sustainability has been at the very heart of everything we do at Nudea. The fact that Nudea and Urb-it are both B Corp certified companies is a great indicator that we’re aligned on our strong sustainable ethos.”
