Ultimo chooses TLE for trade show comeback

Ultimo is exhibiting at The Lingerie Edit after a two-year hiatus from trade shows.

The brand is showing is SS17 lingerie collection, inspired by the 1980s, alongside its continuity lines and two new shapewear collections.

Ultimo chose to exhibit at The Lingerie Edit, a two-day event that closes this evening, after focusing on strengthening its product offering under new leadership.

Discussing her plans for the show, Petra Drali, who was appointed as managing director in May 2015, said: “It would be great for the retailers to see how Ultimo has moved on and what we’ve been up to in the last 18 months.”

“For us, I think it is an opportunity to showcase how the product and the new categories have come along.”

Ultimo’s SS17 collection features bold styles inspired by the 1980s, an era famed for dressing up, delving into digital and disco dancing.

Standout pieces include the Estelle removable gel balcony bra in a bright shade of purple and the Paulina OMG plunge bra featuring blush lace on a white background.

The two new shapewear collections include Signature, offering smoothing and light control, and Contour, offering medium control.

Signature features a body, super-high brief and skort in a lightweight, breathable fabric, while Contour is made up of a slip, half slip and super-high Brazilian brief in a delicate soft pink shade.
